Recently, the Charles City Robotics Team participated in the First Robotics FTC Norfolk Competition at Norfolk State University. There were 50 teams from public and private high schools of the Chesapeake, Va area, MD and NC. The team was not only very excited to just be there but to also have a well-built and reliable robot. The CCHS Robot did well, but our students did even better. They represented our school division with honor and distinction. They earned the Judges Award, a very prestigious award in the FTC Tech community, given to schools that represent the spirit of innovation and engagement that are required for this type of competition. Not only that, but we were part of the final 2 alliances and earned a second place in the finals. We are so proud of our CCHS Robotics Team, Mr. Alex Salas (Team Adviser), and the CCHS Robot, 9455.
