Welcome to Open Enrollment! This guide serves as an overview of the benefit options available to you for the plan year 10/1/17 - 9/30/18. It also includes important legal and compliance notices. Charles City County Public Schools performed a market test for the already competitive benefits offered. As a result, Anthem was selected as the medical insurance administrator. The dental insurance will continue to be administered with Anthem. In addition, we will continue to offer voluntary vision through EyeMed.

New Carrier and Medical Plans: The 3 new medical plans are as follows: KeyCare 25 PPO, HealthKeepers POS 20/20/500 and HealthKeepers Lumenos HSA 1658 2800/80.

Your medical plans through Anthem include the following:   Telemedicine

Health Savings Account (HSA): An lndlviduallv owned, tax-advantaged medical savings account available to those who are enrolled in the HealthKeepers HSA Lumenos 1658 2800/80 plan. These accounts will continue to be offered through Health Equity. You can contribute pre-tax dollars to the HSA along with any discretionary employer contribution. For 2018, the individual limit is $3,450 and family coverage will increase to $6,900. Voluntary Vision Care: We are pleased to continue our relationship with EyeMed, who will be administering the Voluntary Vision for the plan year 2017-2018. Eye Med offers thousands of independent and retail providers for you to find the one that best fits your needs and schedule. By offering this plan separate from the medical, you are able to elect the coverage tier that best suits you and your family's needs. For instance, you may only need employee plus children medical coverage but would like to elect employee only vision! The plans are designed to be easy-to-use and help you access the care you need .

NEW EAP Vendor: Our EAP offering will transition to Anthem. Anthem's EAP can be a valuable tool to help address life's challenges, solve problems and tackle work-related issues. Enrolled members receive 4 visits per new incident, at no cost and are confidential. The plan covers the employee and household family members, even if they are not on the Anthem medical plans!

Dental Insurance: We are pleased to continue to partner with Anthem with no changes to the rates. In addition, there are no benefit changes!

On-Line Enrollment! (Employee Navigator) On-line enrollment will be mandatory for all employees. Even if you are waiving coverage, you still will be required to log in and indicate waiver reason. Please review the detailed instructions on how to enroll in this guide.
