Get to know Mrs. Richardson, our Instructional Technology Resource Teacher

ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Jennifer H. Richardson. This is my 22nd year as a teacher in the Charles City County Public School District and I have counted every year as a blessing. The first 13 years of my teaching career was at Charles City Middle School as a history teacher and the remaining years have been as the district ITRT (Instructional Technology Resource Teacher).

I treasure all the opportunities and experiences I have had throughout the years with my students and their families. My job as ITRT has given me the chance to share my love of technology with our students and teachers. The use of technology in the classroom is not only fun, but also helps to foster the 21st Century Skills needed by our students to compete in the ever-changing world of technology.

For those who want to know a little bit more about me here goes. I grew up in Charles City County, and I am a proud alumnus of the CCHS Class of 1988. I received my bachelor’s degree in Governmental Administration from Christopher Newport University and later earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am the proud mom of two beautiful and amazing daughters. I am also an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoy spending my spare time finding new crafts to complete.

Please check back often to see examples of how our students and teachers are using technology to enhance learning in the classroom. Feel free to contact me if you have questions or need assistance, jhrichardson@ccps.net.
