ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Tracy LaFoille. This is my 2nd year as a teacher in the Charles City County Public School District and I excited to be teaching 5th grade. Before moving to Virginia, I grew up and taught in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for 7 years. This year I will be teaching Science to all 5th grades and Language Arts/English to my homeroom. I hope to challenge my students to improve all their skills in order to be successful. My class motto is: Hard Work = Success.

I grew up in a very rural area in Michigan and started my career in education after staying home with my two children for seven years. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Lake Superior State University, specializing in English and Social Studies. I have a 19 year old son who is in his second year of college and a 16 year old daughter who is a junior at New Kent High School. I love to sing, read and I hope to publish a children’s book sometime in the near future. My husband and I are Alabama fans…..Roll Tide!
