Get to know Mrs. Ghee, our Special Education Teacher

Hello Panther Parents and Students! My name is Cheryl Ghee, and I would like to welcome you to my web page. I have been teaching for fifteen years, and I am excited to begin the 2015-2016 school year.

I am originally from New Kent, Virginia and graduated from New Kent High School in 1989. I then attended the University of Virginia were I obtained a B.A. degree in English in 1993. I worked as a paralegal for several years before deciding that I wanted to go back to school to become a teacher. I began my teaching career at Charles City High School in 1999. While teaching school, I took course work in Special Education and graduated with a M. S. degree from Old Dominion University in 2002. I have held positions at Charles City Elementary School and worked as a reading specialist at Elk Hill Residential/Day Schools.

I am married to a CCPS alum, and we have two children, who are currently attending Charles City Public Schools. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, exercising, and writing. I also love attending sporting events, where you can see me cheering for my Panthers or cheering for my Wahoos. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions throughout the year concerning my class. My email address is I am looking forward to a great school year!
