Christina Tillery

Get to know Ms. Tillery, our History and Social Studies Teacher

Hello. My name is Christina A. Tillery. This is my 4th year as a teacher in the Charles City County Public School District and I have counted every year as a blessing. For the first three years, I taught US History II, Civics & Economics, Geography, and Study Skills. I currently teach 7th grade Civics and Economics, and 8th grade. I truly enjoy teaching in Charles City County. I always feel welcomed in the community. Charles City County will always have a special place in my heart as the birthplace of my career in Education.

I grew up in Pinetops, North Carolina. It is a small, yet loving town that provided me with wonderful childhood memories. I moved to Richmond, VA with my family in 2001. I was fortunate to be a part of the first graduating class of the International Baccalaureate program at Thomas Jefferson High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in History from the illustrious College of William and Mary. I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in School Counseling at Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a daughter, sister, and friend. I love reading articles about social justice, watching documentaries, and reading African American novels. I enjoy spending time watching YouTube videos to learn new skills and techniques. I enjoy attending concerts and festivals.

I look forward to another great year. Please free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.
