Irving Bradby

Get to know Mr. Bradby, our 7 & 8 grade PE Teacher

I am a Thirteen year teacher and graduate of Virginia State University.  I received my B.S. in Health and Physical Education with a certification to teach grades K-12.    My intense course of study at Virginia State University has prepared me to be an informed, dynamic professional in the Health and Physical Education field, and trained me to educate my students with the most current and up to date educational practices.    I am also a graduate of Charles City County public Schools District and was born and raised right here in the county.  I am proud to say I am a product of the Charles City County School System which I attended from Kindergarten through Graduation.  I am proud to say few of the wonderful teachers I had when I was in school, are now my co-workers and peers!

In High School I was an active participant in many sports in High School.  Those sports included Basketball, Baseball, Football and Track.  However, my true passion and sport of choice in High School was playing for the Charles City High School Football Team.  I was a captain of the football team my senior year, and earned many other awards doing my high school years. Playing football is where some of my fondest memories from High School came from and a place where my coaches taught me the value of hard work, dedication, being a stand up individual, and many other life lessons.  I now coach the Charles City High School Football Panthers and hope to instill the same values in the players I coach now.

I do not only teach Health and Physical Education, I also live it.  I like to think that I practice what I preach!  Some of my favorite hobbies are exercising and playing/coaching different sports.  I love to try new things, spend time with my family and friends, fishing, and watch the New York Giants.

Lastly, I truly love and have a lot of passion for what I do.  I believe I have the best job in the world, and get up everyday thankful that I get to do what I do.  I love working with all my students, and having the opportunity to teach them how to be healthy and physically fit.

The best way to contact me is via e-mail,  I check my e-mail frequently throughout the day and will get back to you as quickly as possible.
