Kristi Emerson

Get to know Mrs. Emerson, our Spanish Teacher

My name is Kristi Emerson.  I am the Spanish teacher for Charles City Middle and High Schools.  This is my first year with Charles City County Public Schools. I have been an educator for the past 23 years and love all things with roots to the Spanish language. I graduated from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton VA with additional Undergraduate and Graduate studies in Madrid Spain.

In 1997 I was awarded a Fellowship from the King of Spain to complete a summer study program for North American teachers of Spanish, in Madrid. This is an honor that I hold close to my heart and will never forget what I learned, who I met, the  friendships made, what I did and what I saw during my program.

I am originally from Fredericksburg, VA and have lived most of my adult life in Virginia Beach. I currently reside in Williamsburg with my husband, son and daughter. We have two Weimaraners [brothers] that occupy a great deal of our time.  I also enjoy international travel and most enjoy and time that I can spend in Argentina and Spain.
