Get to know Mrs. Haswell, our Special Education Teacher

Hello and welcome! My name is Pauline Haswell. I am a special education teacher with over 20 years experience. This is my third year at Charles City High School. This year I am a collaborative Teacher in Algebra I, Geometry, Biology, and Physical Science. I love working with the students and look forward to coming to school each day! I have a background in both elementary and secondary level education. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education K-12.

I live in Colonial Heights Virginia with my family. I am married and have 3 children. I have a daughter, who is soon to be a graduate of Longwood University and 2 sons who are Green Bay Packer fans along with my husband. I am surrounded by sports fanatics! I grew up everywhere. My father was military so we lived on the east coast, west coast, midwest, and overseas. I love traveling and meeting new people. My favorite place is Mrytle Beach, South Carolina. We have many happy memories of our family beach trips.

I look forward to having a great school year and hope to assist my students in having a successful year. Along with the time I spend in each classroom, I am also available to give my students additional help during my duty and planning periods which are 4th and 6th block. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I can be reached by email at
